Transformers with primary circuit (busbar or internal winding)

In contrast to busbar and cable, primary circuit current transformers do not have a through window for the passage of the current-carrying conductor, therefore they are fixed on the supporting surface and are connected directly to the circuit of the measured current. For this, there are terminals on the transformer housing for connecting the primary circuit. Some types of transformers are equipped with a built-in busbar with bolt holes, which allows them to be mounted in a gap of the busbar.
